Tennis New Zealand is offering up to 10 coaches the opportunity to travel to Spain with National Coaching Director Peter McCraw on a 10 day tour of 5 Tennis Academies and complete the Registry of Professional Tennis (RPT) 3 day ‘Integral Course’ covering Mini-tennis, Junior Development, Adult Tennis and overview of Spanish Player Development philosophy.
The tour is managed by Luis Mederio (Founder of the RPT). The RPT course will be delivered in English with all Academy visits being translated by Luis.
Proposed Itinerary:
September 12: Arrive Madrid Spain
· Drive to Alicante – stay at Juan Carlos Ferrero Academy
· Dinner, Bed & Breakfast at Academy.
· Pro Players who Train / Developed: Juan Carlos Ferrero, García López and Top Juniors.
Sept 13: JC Ferrero Academy - Alicante
· Lunch, Dinner and overnight accommodation
· Academy coaches will deliver a seminar on program and philosophy of Academy
Sept 14: Tennis Comp Academy - Alicante
· Pro Players: Santi Ventura, Ivan Navarro, Ruben Ramirez,
· Program with more than 120 players of different levels
· Academy coaches will deliver a seminar on program and philosophy of Academy
· Lunch Academy and drive to Valencia (90 minutes).
· Dinner, Bed & Breakfast at NH Hotel in Valencia
Sept 15: TennisVal Academy - Valencia
· Pro Players who train / developed: Marat Safin, Dinara Safina, David Ferrer, Anabel Medina.
· Academy coaches will deliver a seminar on program and philosophy of Academy.
· Lunch at Academy and drive to Barcelona (120 minutes).
· Dinner, Bed & Breakfast at NH Airport in Barcelona.
Sept 16: Sanchez-Casal Academy - Barcelona
· Pro players who train / developed: Sveltana Kutnesova, Daniela Hantuchova, Andy Murray,
· 200 full time student from around the world
· Academy coaches will deliver a seminar on program and philosophy of Academy.
· Lunch, Dinner, Bed & Breakfast at NH Airport in Barcelona.
Sept 17: Sergi Bruguera Academy – Barcelona
· Academy coaches will deliver a seminar on program and philosophy of Academy.
· Lunch Academy and drive to Madrid (4 hours).
· Dinner, Bed & Breakfast in a NH Parque Avenidas.
· Course Content: You will gain a complete overview of the RPT Philosophy & Programs
o Streetennis (mini)
o Charlytennis (Junior)
o Adultennis,
o Overview of Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 of RPT Qualifications.
· Course Materials: All manuals, dvd´s, cd´s and books provided in course.
· Bed & all meals at at NH Parque Avenidas.
Sept 20: Free afternoon – shopping, sightseeing.
· Dinner at a restaurant and party at one of the Madrid’s best Disco´s....
Sept 21: Transportation to the airport. Depart
Cost: $6,500 NZD excluding flight.
Cost includes:
· 9 nights accommodation (Hotel and Academies).
· All meals for 10 days.
· Transportation – to and from airport, hotels and academies.
· Accommodation will be in double rooms in the academies and in the NH hotels (4 star).
· All lectures at each academy, materials and the RPT Integral Course.
