Daniell Reaches Doubles Final

Daniell and and Hungarian partner Marton Fucsovics had a close semi-final match against Germany's Gero Kretschmer and Jakob Sude.

Daniell (below) and Fucsovics won 7-5 7-6(5) to set up a final against Adrian Bodmer (SUI) and Philipp Oswald (AUT) tomorrow morning (NZ time).

At the same event, fellow Kiwi Anton Bettink (below) reached the final round of singles qualifying before going down to Patrick Eichenberger (SUI) in straight sets.



Meanwhile in Australia, Rubin ‘Jose’ Statham (NZL), has easily advanced into the quarterfinals of the singles at the US$15,000 Men's Futures event in Bundaberg, Australia His first two rounds were straight set victories. He now faces top seed James Lemke (AUS) in the quarterfinals.



In the doubles, Statham (above) and partner Brydan Klein (AUS) reached the semi-finals. The pair struck Adam Feeney and Adam Hubble once again after the the pair meet in last weeks final. Feeney and Hubble won the semi-final to set up a final against Lemke and Dane Propoggia (AUS).

Also in Bundaberg, fellow Kiwi Logan Mackenzie (below) and Ryan Agar (AUS) reached the doubles quarterfinals before being knocked out by fourth seeds Matthew Barton and Michael Look (AUS).
