Kiwi number one Rubin Statham has won the doubles title at the US$15,000 Futures tournament in Kassel in Germany.
Statham combined with Australian Adam Hubble to beat Marek Michalicka (Czech Repbulic) and Maciej Smola (Poland) 6-3 6-3 in the semi-finals.

The pair went onto defeat Germans Gero Kretschmer and Alexander Satschko 6-3 4-6 10-8 for the title.
It is Statham’s third ITF Futures doubles title this year and ninth doubles title.
Meanwhile, fellow Kiwi Dianne Hollands (below) reached the final of the doubles of the US$10,000 Event in Pattaya. Partnering with Tyra Calderwood of Australia the pair upset second seeds in the opening round and third seeds in the semi-finals.
In the final, Hollands and Calderwood had a close match losing to Japanese pair Eri Hozumi and Mari Tanaka in the third set supertiebreak 12-10.
