Northern Tennis

Tennis Northern Registered Coaches

The Tennis New Zealand (TNZ) Coach Registration & Certification (CRC) Policy came into effect on July 1, 2009. It is designed to recognise tennis coaching as a profession and establish ‘Registered and Certified’ Coaches in New Zealand. This policy affects all TNZ and Regional staff involved in tennis coaching, in addition to affiliated club coaches and endorsed private business’s delivering tennis coaching services in New Zealand.

The goal of this policy is to introduce professional coaching standards and raise level of services delivered at all National and Regional Performance Centers, affiliated clubs and tennis centers in New Zealand. The benefits of such will ensure all children who receive tennis coaching, do so in an environment where there is a 'professional duty of care'.

 

The coaches listed below have all met the following criteria:

  • Completed a police check
  • Completed a first aid course
  • Achieved a TNZ / TCNZ recognized coaching qualification
  • Signed the Tennis Coaches Code of Ethics
  • Paid annual registration fee of $149
