Based at the Waikato Tennis Centre, Dey St, Hamilton, Tennis Waikato-Bays is made up of 51 Affiliated clubs and 5,415members. The Tennis Waikato-Bays Region covers a wide area including, Thames Valley\Coromandel, Bay of Plenty, Western Bay of Plenty, Poverty Bay, Hawkes Bay and the Waikato.

In conjunction with our Affiliated Clubs, Tennis Waikato-Bays is responsible for the delivery and management of tennis in the Region summer and winter interclub, junior and senior tournaments, Grasshoppers programmes to high performance programmes, representative tennis as well as coach education programmes.

Tennis Waikato-Bays is a non-profit regional sporting organisation established in 1922 to foster and promote the game of tennis in the Waikato and Central East Coast Bays regions. 

We provide opportunities and access for all Waikato-Bays players to participate in tennis at all levels. A development pathway is in place to cater for recreational and elite players to fulfil their potential.

Our headquarters are at the Waikato Tennis Centre, Dey St, Hamilton. This facility boasts 14 Hard and 8 Artificial Grass outdoors and 3 Rebound Ace courts indoors , 3 squash courts and a pavillion. Click here for a Map.

Tennis Waikato-Bays  has 3 main centres. Apart from the Waikato Tennis Centre there are 12 hard and 4 artificial courts at Papamoa, Tauranga and 10 hardcourts at Onekawa, Napier. Waikato-Bays staff manages interclub competitions, runs local, regional, national and International tournaments. A well-respected coaching structure also exists in the region and is catered for by Professional Registered coaches.
